What is The Campaign for the Future of Richard Bland College?
The Campaign for the Future of Richard Bland College is the first campaign launched by the college since it’s inception in 1960. The Capital Campaign is aimed at securing support to ensure the future with funds being raised to build residence halls, enhance campus life, technology, and student scholarship endowments.

What is an Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund targets many donors making gifts through direct mail programs, special events, and membership drives. This fund targets a broad constituency and supports the organization’s annual operating budget.

What is an endowment?
An endowment is an account established to attract and retain highly motivated and successful students by awarding them scholarships for their exceptional work. Named scholarships facilitate a quality college education for deserving students who otherwise could not afford it.

How can I set up a scholarship?
A permanent scholarship for student financial aid can be established with a minimum $10,000 gift. A scholarship can be named in honor or memory of a family member, a professor or other individual or group. Additional funds can be added to the endowment at any time.

Does the College have Named Scholarships?
Yes, The Richard Bland College Foundation and friends of the College have established 51different Named Scholarship awards. Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement and/or extracurricular involvement.
