NARRATIVE

Richard Bland College was established by an Act of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia in February 1960 and opened for enrollment in September of 1961.  It has been in continuous operation ever since with students enrolled in degree programs every semester.

IPEDS reports filed with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia of fall headcount enrollment indicate that the enrollment has remained stable over the last several years.

Richard Bland College awards the Associate in Arts Degree and the Associate in Science Degree.  A commencement ceremony is held annually in May to honor graduates from December, May and August.  Commencement programs list the names of those receiving degrees, their hometown and honors.

For each academic year the Registrar’s Office has provided a list of graduates, the graduation date and overall GPA.
