NEW ORGANIZATIONS AND CLUBS PROCESS
If you are interested in starting a club/organization, please contact the Student Activities Office, located on the 2nd floor of the Center for Student Affairs (room 215). You may make an appointment either by phone at 804-862-6225 or via email at

TO REGISTER A CLUB/ORGANIZATION
Students may obtain a
Club and Activities Registry Form,
which will require individuals to:
. State the name of the club/organization.
. List the name of the full or part-time teaching or administrative faculty sponsoring
the club.
. Outline clear goal(s) for the organization.
. Indicate at least five (5) full or part-time students interested in joining.
. Review and complete the Club/Organizations Registry Form, and return it to the
Student Activities Office.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR NEW CLUBS
The Student Activities office will assist any new clubs in achieving their campus activities financially.
REQUESTING FUNDS
The new club sponsor and president may request funds from the Coordinator of Student Activities if the below steps are followed:
. The group must be an approved and recognized club with the Student
Activities Office:

Meaning of approved and recognized
Your club/organization is approved and recognized if it has completed and
returned the Club/Organizations Registry Form to the Student Activities
Office. The form must be approved by the Coordinator of Student Activities.
This assistance helps the new club established their own programming.
RESERVING A SPACE ON CAMPUS
Reserving any buildings or classroom must be made by the club sponsor. The Center for Student Affairs Conference Room may be reserved by calling 804-862-6225. Clubs/Organization sponsors must contact 804-862-6221 to reserve other rooms and facilities on campus.
WEBSITES
Student organizations and clubs are free to post their groups' web pages on the student activities site. The process is simple. Please design your page under the supervision of your sponsor. Once your webpage is designed, have the club sponsor contact the
IT department to post your webpage to the RBC website at the ITS Help Desk.
NEED PERMISSION
Clubs and organizations are not allowed to hold functions without their sponsor's permission. All clubs and organizations activities must have their sponsor present. All posting, flyers and notification must have for clubs and organizations must have their sponsor's permission before going up or emailed out.
FUNDRAISERS
Fundraisers must be pre-approved by your club sponsors.
