Applying to the College
Candidates for admission must have graduated from an accredited high school or have earned an equivalency certificate based on GED tests. Applications are evaluated on the basis of high school courses completed, grades, extracurricular activities, SAT or ACT tests scores, and personal recommendations.
High school work should normally include four (4) years of English, three (3) years of mathematics, two (2) years of history or government, two (2) years of science, two (2) years of foreign language, and a minimum high school grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale.
International Students
In addition to the admission requirements listed above, international students must also have achieved a minimum score of 500 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to be considered for admission.
How to Apply
You may apply for admission to Richard Bland College by following the procedures outlined in the application form available upon request. Each step is important in the admissions process. Please read and follow the instructions carefully.
We encourage you to apply early; however, applications are accepted on a continuing basis throughout the year. The suggested application deadlines are July 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. Please do not send disability documentation with your application for admission. At Richard Bland we believe that no student should be denied the opportunity to pursue a college education because of insufficient financial resources. Therefore, the college offers a variety of financial aid programs to qualified students.
Applications and Forms
**All applicants must fill out an In-State Tuition Application**
**All applicants must complete and return the Student Disciplinary History Form, the Dean's Certification Form (Transfer Students) or the Counselor's Certification Form (First Time Students).**
Applications will be reviewed once the Admissions staff receives all required documents. Upon the receipt of all materials, please allow at least ten (10) business days for processing.
First Time Applicants
Students who have not previously attended a college or university and students applying for dual enrollment. NOTE: Students who have graduated from high school ten (10) or more years ago will not need to submit the Counselor's Certification form.
