All Financial Aid Awards are made by the Coordinator of Financial Aid based on the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the Richard Bland College Application for Financial Assistance. Completed applications received by the priority deadline will be ranked according to the level of need. Students with the highest need will be awarded first, and remaining students will be awarded as funds are available.
Students who are awarded financial aid will receive an Award Letter stating the annual amount being offered. The award must be accepted online through banner web within 14 days. If financial assistance is denied, students will receive a letter stating the reason and possible alternatives.
Unless otherwise stated, awards will be made for the entire academic year. One-half of the amount from each source will be credited to the recipient's account to meet tuition and book expenses. Any funds in excess of tuition and books will be mailed to the business office and available for pickup within four to six weeks into the semester.
