Underage drinking and excessive drinking affects virtually all college campuses, the
surrounding communities, and students. Those who choose not to drink can be
affected adversely along with those who choose to drink. Unintended consequences
can and do include, rape, unsafe sex, assault, injury and even death. One quarter of
college students report academic problems as a result of their drinking. The more
pronounced the drinking problem the more property damage experienced by
schools.
