The participant's student health fee includes the professional component of the visit (i.e. physician and nurse). There is no co-pay or office visit charge. Materials/medications will be charged at cost. On-site labs fees will be set at the cost of test. Tests sent to LabCorp will be charged at the State of Virginia contract price. (which are extremely reasonable and usually below most health insurances contracted prices)

Student Health will not bill any insurance companies. Payment is due at the time of labwork or blood drawn to forward to Labcorp. A computerized receipt will be made available for the participant to turn into their insurance company for reimbursement. If labwork is done through LabCorp the student has the choice of going to one of the local LabCorp draw stations and providing their insurance information.

Student Health does not have an in-house pharmacy. A list of local pharmacies will be available upon request.

We also have an on-call dentist for emergencies. Students will have to provide their own transportation to the dental office.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 9am-2pm

Student Health realizes, as with any new venture, there will be changes in need and services. Our goal is to serve the needs of our students/participants to the best of our ability. This may mean changing/extending hours, adding services and recreating policies. Feedback is critical and we welcome any suggestions.
