International Travel

RBC has traveled to England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Greece, Russia, Kenya, and Mexico to name a few. These trips are coordinated by Faculty members on campus. These trips include: Airfare, lodging, a full-time courier provided by the company sponsoring the trip, entrances into museums and other attractions, ground transportation to scheduled events, and at least one meal a day if not two.
Richard Bland students can earn one, two, or three college credits for travel abroad. Each student can earn one credit by attending several meetings during the semester and going on the trip. Students can earn two credits by fulfilling the one credit requirements and by preparing a journal of their entire trip to be graded by the trip coordinator. Students can earn three credits by fulfilling the one and two credit requirements and writing a research paper, completing a project, etc. on some aspect of the trip. The research paper or project must be done in coordination with a faculty member on campus. All full-time RBC students that are first-time travelers are eligible for scholarships. These scholarships usually range from $400 to $600. Anyone can travel with Richard Bland College. We have had people from Louisiana, Washington DC, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia , Massachusetts, etc . . . travel with us. We have had families go with us. We look forward to having you travel with us.
