@
your library
The American
Library Association has launched a campaign encouraging all libraries
to use the @ your library logo as part of their promotions.
Richard Bland College Library is proud to support this effort. The
library has chosen the theme Reeling you in @
your library as
its overall theme and will utilize a spin off of that theme for promotions
throughout the year. Our 2001-2002 campaign was launched
on August 21st with an ice cream social for faculty and staff and continued
on August 22nd with student orientation. This campaign coincides
with the 40th anniversary of Richard Bland College, thereby providing
an opportunity to use "Reeling you in with 40 years of history @
your library." See the Calendar of Activities for details
of past and future events as we continue to participate in this exciting
ALA campaign. For more information check out the American Library
Association Web site at http://www.ala.org/@yourlibrary.
Message The @
your library campaign is an educational initiative focusing on the value
of libraries and librarians. Key messages that are a basis for all
promotions are:
• Libraries are changing and dynamic places
• Libraries are places of opportunity
• Libraries bring you the world
