National Domestic Violence Awareness Month @ your library®


October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Dr. Teresa Stillion, Director of Student Health at Richard Bland College, organized a Red Flag Campaign around campus to promote dating violence awareness on campus. The Red Flag Campaign is a Virginia-sponsored safety and awareness program hosted at colleges and universities throughout the Commonwealth.

Flags and posters were placed around campus in support of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Library Director Dr. Virginia Cherry and Sarah Nicol placed posters and red flags throughout the first floor of the Library to assist Dr. Stillion spread the word about dating violence.
