Remembering September 11, 2001 @ your library®

September 11, 2008 marked the seventh anniversary of the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks.

Richard Bland College waved its flags at half mast in remembrance of that fateful day.

Flag in front of The Commons

Anthony Galloni, son of librarian Joy Galloni, recently returned from Iraq.  He gave the library a U.S. flag that his squadron flew over Iraq September 11, 2007. This was the flag flown at half mast in front of The Commons on September 11, 2008.

In December 2007, the RBC Library supported the troops in a program known as Anthony's Army Buddies.
