Big Brothers Big Sisters Duck Race @ your library®

Richard Bland College offers a student activity program supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters at RBC. RBC students serve as Big Brothers and Big Sisters and mentor children in the community. This program is managed by librarian Deborah Vroman.

Every July, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Richmond area hosts a fundraiser and family event known as the Duck Race. Library Director Dr. Virginia Cherry was one of several RBC employees who supported the event by purchasing ducks.
