During
the month of October, Richard Bland College Library will be featuring
its new eBook collection. Through its membership in SOLINET, the
library has purchased two sets of eBooks from netLibrary, giving
the library a total of 25,000 eBooks.
eBooks are either electronic versions of print
books or they may originate in digital form. Like print books, the
text found in eBooks is often enriched with photos, illustrations, graphs
and tables. Unlike print books, eBooks are searchable. The "Electronic Texts (eBooks)"
link from the library home page provides detailed information on how to use eBooks and connects to netLibrary where it is possible to create
an account and search for eBooks by title, author and subject.
