Photographer Will Daniel is the author of James River Reflections, a book that combines over 250 photos and eloquent text to reveal the majesty of Virginia's James River. Explore the river from its humble beginnings on private property to the point where it meets one of the nation's busiest seaports. See Class V rapids in the heart of Richmond as nowhere else in America.
Rivers and photography have been in Will Daniel's blood all his life. The author-photographer was born within sight of the Ohio River, and he moved to Richmond, VA in 2004. He spent two years traveling the length of the James River to capture its beauty in digital images for his book. He retired in 2009 from a US government job, and he now teaches part-time in the School of Mass Communications at VCU. He is currently working on his second book about rivers in Virginia.
