Join the Richard Bland College Library Staff for a National Library Week Celebration of "humor @ your library."On April 4th, 2001, from 11:10 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., join us in the library for guest speaker Edward Grimsley, journalist, author and humorist. Reception to follow.First Let's Kill all the HumoristsMr. Grimsley began his career as a journalist in 1951 after graduating from The College of William & Mary. Before joining the staff of the Richmond Times-Dispatch in 1953, Mr. Grimsley worked for the Washington Star, the United Press International, and as press relations director for The College of William & Mary. At the Times-Dispatch he became an Editorial Page Editor in 1970 and was Chairman of the Editorial Board in 1995 when he retired. Mr. Grimsley also wrote a humorous column satirizing many aspects of everyday life. In 1998, reprints of many of these columns that first appeared in the Richmond Times Dispatch were published under the title, First, Let's Kill all the Humorists.
