Open House @ your library®
On Thursday, October 2, the library staff at Richard Bland College hosted an Open House to celebrate the Library’s reopening. Invitees, including faculty, staff, students and special guests, were treated to refreshments and complimentary silver bookmarks engraved with the Library’s name. Bookmarks were made available by the Friends of the Library.
Newcomers enjoyed tours of the recently renovated facility. College retirees who remember the original Library were particularly impressed by the new Library in terms of its soothing color palette, the wonderful views from the second floor, the striking glass staircase, the compact shelving, the sizeable Special Collections Room, and the overall increased spaciousness, technology, and functionality.
The Invitation
