YES. There are 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments available.
Do the residence halls have Internet access and cable TV?
YES. Not only are all of our apartments equipped with Internet and cable, all of our buildings are also wired for high-speed wireless Internet access, so you can be ready for the test no matter where you want to study!
If I sign up to live in a residence hall, can I break my contract and move out?
YES, but you will lose your deposit.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
YES. Our apartments offer all the highest quality living accommodations, and climate control is no exception.
Are the buildings accessible to students who are differently abled?
YES. All of our buildings are handicapped accessible, with wide hallways and elevators between every floor. In addition, a certain number of our apartments are designed specifically for students with special physical needs.
Are the residence halls open over holiday breaks?
Usually not. Exceptions must be approved by college officials.
Can I bring my car?
YES. The College will provide a parking space adjacent to each residence hall for each student living on campus.
May I choose with whom I share the apartment?

Are first year students required to live in the residence halls?
No. The residence halls are available to any student.
Are the buildings divided by gender?
Essentially, they will be single-sex apartments on coed floors. Although the buildings are not divided by gender, the individual apartments are. This means that all occupants of an apartment will be of the same gender, but that the men's apartments and the women's apartments will exist side by side.
What are the rooms like?
At RBC, we strive for excellence in our academics and in our residence facilities. Because our residence halls are all brand
new, you can expect the highest level of quality, cleanliness and efficiency. All of our buildings are built in the style of an apartment complex, rather than a dormitory. This means that whether you live alone in a one-bedroom unit or share a unit with friends, your apartment will be divided into a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a personal bedroom for each occupant. All of our units come fully furnished, carpeted, and equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave.
That way, you can experience all the independence of living on your own without sacrificing the comforts of home.
What is it like to live at RBC?
RBC's park-like campus sits on 712 acres immediately adjacent to the Tri-Cities of Southside Virginia. From our residence-hall apartments, it's a short walk to the cafeteria, the gym and the academic buildings. Students living in the residence halls also have direct access to on-campus evening activities such as music, theater and intramural sports. Only thirty minutes from downtown Richmond, the capital of the Commonwealth, the Tri-Cities embody the best of both the urban and the rural setting. While living at RBC, students can easily reap the benefits the area has to offer. Old Towne Petersburg is witnessing the birth of a contemporary art scene, an informal café culture and a wealth of small boutiques. Colonial Heights offers a new 16-cinema multiplex and a variety of shopping and dining opportunities. Hopewell, the third of the Tri-Cities, provides access to both the Appomattox and James rivers, where students can swim, fish, boat, or just hang out on the banks. Sports fans can catch the Petersburg Generals in action or cruise over to Richmond for some AAA ball at The Diamond. Richmond also has a renowned local music scene, larger clubs and venues that host musical artists of every style and genre, exceptional shopping and every kind of dining you can imagine.
