Rotaract LogoThe Richard Bland Rotaract Club was reactivated on-campus in September 2010.

Rotaract is an international program for college-age students who want to make a difference. It was founded in 1968 by Rotary International, an association of clubs made up of service-minded business and professional leaders. Today there are more than 7,300 Rotary-sponsored Rotaract clubs with some 170,000 members (known as Rotaractors) in over 150 countries. Clubs are based in communities, colleges, and universities. View a brochure for more information.

Rotaract clubs enable Rotaractors to grow personally and professionally, address community needs, and promote international understanding through friendship and service. Rotaract builds leaders, and leaders build strong clubs with effective programs. Toward that end, clubs organize communication and public speaking seminars, training programs for club offices, workshops to organize projects, and informational sessions about Rotary.

RBC Rotaract Club holds meetings twice a month on Tuesdays from 12:30-1:30 that features speakers and discussions. Members also get together for service projects, social activities, and leadership workshops. View "A Look Back...Richard Bland College Rotaract Club 2010-2011."

The RBC Rotaract Club donated money to Rebuilding Together*Petersburg, the Rotary International Japan 2011 Disaster Recovery Fund, and the American Red Cross Haiti Relief. They also collected items for the CARES shelter and the USO at the Richmond Airport, and they participated in a work day helping senior citizens improve their homes.
