Themed Housing

LIVE, LEARN, and GROW at Richard Bland College!

Living on campus at Richard Bland College of William & Mary is a rewarding experience. We have a committed staff of live-in professionals who work with our student staff to provide a very rewarding, safe, and enjoyable campus life experience. We offer students housing options in three residence halls; Freedom Hall, Patriot Hall, and Commerce.

As part of RBC’s housing options, students can reside in one of our Themed Communities (TC’s). Please take the opportunity below to view the TC and apply today.

What is a theme communities? TC’s are designed to bring together like-minded students in an effort to support the mission of that community. Participation in the community ensures the student will be exposed to a variety of events and services that will support their academic and personal growth. The community will define your Richard Bland College experience and prepare you for eventual transfer to a 4-year institution.

How do I apply? Students should complete their housing application by clicking here. Select the housing option you desire as part of your application. Staff will then contact you for follow-up information.

The ASPIRE Community (Academic Scholars Program in Residential Environments) focuses on academic excellence and is built around three pillars; mentorship, service learning, and academic excellence. This community is designed to complement student’s experiences as members of the honors program. Students participating in this community will be exposed to unique opportunities that will reinforce academic commitment, build relationships, focus their passions, and encourage curiosity & commitment to lifelong service. Statesman Scholars participating in this community are assigned to Patriot Hall on the 4th Floor, with their choice of single or double room.
