Richard Bland College Announces Honor Society Inductees

Sixteen students from Richard Bland College of William & Mary were recently inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society for academic achievement, joining 28 RBC students in the organization. Students earning a 3.5 grade point average or higher during the academic year are eligible for membership into the Alpha Beta Omicron Chapter of PTK, which specifically honors Richard Bland students.

The students inducted include: Calvin Anderson (Prince George); Brittney Bowe (Hopewell); Nia Bowman-Thomas (Fort Lee); Madison Broga (Colonial Heights); Tiana Crawford (Prince George); Ashley Davis (Dinwiddie); Miodrag Dronjak (Kladova, Serbia); Brittney Elliott (Richmond); Ashley Fritz (Chesterfield); Brooke Gilbert (Chesterfield); Samantha Green (Waverly); Robert Jones (Petersburg); Ashley Kirk (Dinwiddie); Nellie Martin (Prince George); Jennifer McCann (Prince George); Brooke Mitchell (Petersburg); Katelyn Nester (Colonial Heights); Alyssa Parrish (Colonial Heights); Tamara Pope (Prince George); Krystin Potter (Dinwiddie); Luis Torres Serrano (Bucaramanga, Colombia); Drew Short (Dinwiddie); Harper Smith (Chesterfield); Jessica Smith (Petersburg); Chloe Stanfield (Dinwiddie); Lauren Vaughan (Prince George); Cassidy Wilkinson (Prince George); Kayla Zanders (Virginia Beach).

“Induction into PTK is a well-deserved honor and recognition for students who have achieved academic excellence,” said Aimee Joyaux, Associate Dean of Academic Support & Learning Resources at Richard Bland College. “The College applauds them for their leadership in the classroom and participation on campus.”

Established in 1918, Phil Theta Kappa International Honors Society serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievements of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through honors leadership and service programming. Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in American higher education with more than 1.3 million members and 1,200 chapters located in 50 states, U.S. territories, Canada and Germany.
