Welcome to RBC! We are excited for you to begin your journey with us. Before classes begin, we want to be sure you have all of your questions answered, which is why we have the following opportunities available to you:

  • Richard Bland College New Student Orientation (virtual)
    • Registration required (see details below)

  • Financial Aid Question & Answer Sessions (virtual)
    • Zoom links will be emailed to students and parents weekly
    • No registration required
    • 6-7 p.m. on June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28, August 11
  • Housing/Food Service Question & Answer Sessions (virtual)
    • Zoom links will be emailed to students and parents weekly
    • No registration required
    • 6-7 p.m. on June 23, July 7, July 21, August 4
  • Statesman Socials (virtual)
    • Meet your new classmates, RBC faculty, and RBC staff

Richard Bland College New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is designed to ensure that new students have a successful transition and integration into college life and an introduction to campus life at Richard Bland College of William & Mary. All students who are new to Richard Bland College, including transfer students, are strongly encouraged to participate in orientation before classes begin.

For students matriculating fall 2020, new student orientation dates are as follows:

  • July 11, 2020 (virtual)
  • July 15, 2020 (virtual)
  • August 8, 2020 (virtual)
  • August 12, 2020 (virtual)

For students matriculating fall 2021, new student orientation dates are as follows:

  • July 10, 2021
  • July 14, 2021
  • August 14, 2021
  • August 18, 2021

During orientation, students will have the chance to do the following:

  • Meet and engage with other incoming students and staff at RBC
  • Meet the Learner Mentor Team
  • Learn about the campus and the services offered
    • Residence Life
    • Dining Services
    • Counseling Services
    • Disability Services (accommodations)
    • Records & Registration
    • Campus Technology
    • Honors Program
    • Campus Engagement (Student activities)
  • Complete any remaining business
    • Financial Aid
    • Business Office
    • Admissions
    • Student ID (only available if attending on campus)
