Richard Bland College New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is designed to ensure that new students have a successful transition and integration into college life and an introduction to campus life at Richard Bland College of William & Mary. All new students to Richard Bland College are expected to participate in orientation before classes begin.

During orientation, students will have the chance to:

  • Meet and engage with other incoming students and staff at RBC
  • Meet their Learner Mentor
  • Learn about the campus and the services offered
    • Financial Aid
    • Business Office
    • Residence Life
    • Dining Services
    • Learner Mentor
    • Counseling Services
    • Disability Services
    • Records & Registration
    • Campus Technology
    • Honor’s Programming
    • Student Activities
    • Student ID
    • Bookstore

For orientation, students should plan for activities to start at check-in between 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and last until 4:00 p.m. with optional sessions until 5:00 p.m. Orientation is going to be an active day taking place indoors and outdoors, therefore, please wear sneakers and dress comfortably in preparation for hot weather.

* Transfer students are welcome and encouraged to attend orientation.

** Students unable to attend orientation will be required to complete an Online New Student Orientation
