Scholarships

Presidential Merit

RBC’s largest merit-based scholarship is awarded to students invited to the Honors Program each fall and spring. This scholarship is based on merit, not financial need, and students must participate in the Honors Program and have a 3.5 GPA or higher to be awarded the scholarship. Awards are typically $1,000 per academic year.

Endowment Scholarships

These scholarships require that you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A list of Endowment Scholarships is available here. Awarding of these scholarships is done by the Financial Aid Office after a review of a student’s financial need and eligibility established by Scholarship Donors. Scholarship recipients will be notified via a financial aid award letter.

Outside Scholarships

Students are encouraged to pursue as many outside scholarships and grants as possible to reduce reliance on loans and work. Outside scholarships are offered through private agencies and organizations such as high schools, community organizations, scholarship foundations, employers, and government agencies.

Students MUST provide the Office of Financial Aid with a copy of scholarship notification letter(s). Outside scholarships are considered resources and may reduce the amount of need-based financial aid you are awarded. If the outside scholarship exceeds a student’s financial need and/or cost of attendance, adjustments may be made to the student’s financial aid package to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
