Richard Bland College Announces Dr. Tyler Hart New Provost

President Debbie Sydow has named Dr. Tyler Hart as provost at Richard Bland College. Dr. Hart has served the College in many key administrative capacities over the last decade, most recently as Chief Administrative Officer overseeing Development, Marketing & Communications, Campus Safety and Information Technology.

RBC Announces President’s & Dean’s List Students

Richard Bland College is pleased to recognize more than 250 students who have earned distinction on the President’s and Dean’s List for the 2020 fall semester. One hundred and thirty-nine students earned a 3.8 grade point average (GPA) and above for placement on the President’s List. An additional 127 students rated Dean’s List status with a 3.25 to 3.79 GPA. All students are required to carry a minimum of 12 credit hours to earn academic distinction.

Richard Bland Earns Accreditation For the Next Decade

Richard Bland College has been approved for reaffirmation of accreditation through 2029 from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), a regional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.

RBC Keeps Tuition Affordable

The William & Mary Board of Visitors has unanimously voted not to increase tuition rates for in-state students enrolling at Richard Bland College. This is the second straight year that the board has voted not to raise tuition, making RBC’s tuition one of the lowest in Virginia for the 2020-21 academic year.

RBC to Hold Virtual Commencement Ceremony

Commencement 2020 at Richard Bland College will be streamed virtually for graduates on May 13 at 6 pm. Victor K. Branch ’82, Richmond Market President for Bank of America and recipient of the College’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2017, will deliver the keynote address. Alden Di Dio, Vice President of the Student Assembly, will speak on behalf of the Class of 2020.
