Associate of Arts
The Associate of Arts Degree is designed primarily for those students who plan to complete their baccalaureate degrees in areas of the arts, humanities, or the behavioral or social sciences. Depending upon the institution to which a student may transfer and the prospective major, the Associate of Science Degree may be more appropriate. Students are urged to consult an academic advisor on this matter.

- Foreign Language (2 Courses in Same Subject)
- The Human Experience (2 Courses)

- U.S. and World Cultures (3 Courses)
(One of which must be HIST 101, 102, 192, 201, 202) - Computer Proficiency (1 Course or Exam**)
- In order to earn your Associate degree you need a total of 60 credit hours.
- * Developmental courses (MATH 099, ENGL 099) DO NOT count towards your total credit hours
- **Students will not earn 3credits if choosing the Computer Proficiency Exam
- Students must take the exam by8/31/22
- Students that matriculate Fall 2021 or later do not have the option to take the ComputerProficiencyExam
- ***Students are allowed a maximum of 3 PE credits

A student must meet the following credit-hour requirements for the Associate of Science Degree.
The College offers a traditional generalist degree incorporating the Core and significant breadth across discipline.

The Associate of Science – Behavioral Science Degree is designed primarily for those students who plan to complete their baccalaureate degrees in areas of sociology, psychology, social services, and counseling. Depending upon the institution to which a student may transfer and the prospective major, the Associate of Science Degree may be more appropriate. Students are urged to consult an academic advisor on this matter. There is no foreign language requirement to earn this degree.

Associate of Science Degree - Business Administration
The Associate of Science Degree is designed primarily for those students who plan to complete their baccalaureate degrees in areas of education, business, health professions, social work, engineering, or one of the natural sciences. The Associate of Science – Business Administration Degree is designed primarily for those students who plan to complete their baccalaureate degrees in areas of accounting, economics, finance, management, and marketing. Depending upon the institution to which a student may transfer and the prospective major, the Associate of Science Degree may be more appropriate. Students are urged to consult an academic advisor on this matter. There is no foreign language requirement to earn this degree.

Associate of Science Degree – Math/Computer Science
The Associate of Science Degree is designed primarily for those students who plan to complete their baccalaureate degrees in areas of education, business, health professions, social work, engineering, or one of the natural sciences. Depending upon the institution to which a student may transfer and the prospective major, the Associate of Arts Degree may be more appropriate.
The Associate of Science – Math/Computer Science Degree is designed primarily for those students who plan to complete their baccalaureate degrees to pursue jobs related to information analysis, information systems management, and other applied quantitative fields. Depending upon the institution to which a student may transfer and the prospective major, the Associate of Science Degree may be more appropriate. Students are urged to consult an academic advisor on this matter. There is no foreign language requirement to this degree.

Recommended electives in Math: MATH 271 – Differential Equations. Recommended electives in Computer Science: CSCI 205 – Computer Organization. It is also recommended that students check with their desired transfer institution to determine the specific natural science courses required as Mathematics and Computer Science majors are often required to take one to three additional Natural Science courses. It is further recommended that students check with their desired transfer institution to determine their Foreign Language requirements.
