Richard Bland College has signed a five-year agreement with Virginia Wesleyan University to develop the skills needed to build upon an Associates of Science (A.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.S.) in Business with a Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics Management. With this agreement, students may satisfy requirements for the degree and/or the certificate with approved courses from the other institution.

Richard Bland College has earned the 2017 Online Learning Consortium’s (OLC) Digital Learning Innovation Faculty-led Team Award for advancing undergraduate student success through the adoption of digital courseware. Richard Bland was one of three institutions and ten faculty-led teams selected in year two of the Online Learning Consortium’s (OLC) DLIAward competition.

The Richard Bland College Foundation has announced the 2017 Awards of Distinction’s honorees. Victor K. Branch ‘82 received the Distinguished Alumni Award; Kelly T. Gee ’08 was presented with the Young Alumni Award, and J. Peter Clements received the Richard Bland Award.

Richard Bland College students, professors & staff recently explored aquatic life and ecosystems in streams and rivers in the 900,000+ acre Monongahela National Forest to build academic and life skills. This was part of a five-week project, Stream Ecosystem Assessment, headed by Dr. Eric Miller, RBC Assistant Professor of Biology.

Richard Band College of William & Mary Dean of Faculty and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Vern L. Lindquist, has been selected to participate in The Association of Chief Academic Officers (ACAO) Digital Fellows Program. Dr. Lindquist is one of 32 provosts and chief academic officers (CAOs) chosen nationwide for the prestigious program supported by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
