Two students from Petersburg High School recently graduated from Richard Bland College of William & Mary, earning both their High School Advanced Diploma and their two-year Associate of Science Degree. Through the “Middle College Program” partnership between Richard Bland College and Petersburg City Public Schools, Antonio Duperior-White and Amaya Comvalius graduated from both high school and college this spring.

Governor Northam Delivers Message of Service and Responsibility to Graduates

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam addressed the 2018 graduating class at Richard Bland College of William & Mary, offering an inspiring message that empowered students to use their power and abilities to fix the problems they see in the world and to embrace the responsibility to make the world around them better. Nearly 250 students earned their Associate’s Degree at the 55th Commencement Ceremony held on Saturday, May 13 in Statesman Hall. Over 50 Honor students graduated with a 3.5 or above GPA.

Richard Bland College Announces Honor Society Inductees

Sixteen students from Richard Bland College of William & Mary were recently inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society for academic achievement, joining 28 RBC students in the organization. Students earning a 3.5 grade point average or higher during the academic year are eligible for membership into the Alpha Beta Omicron Chapter of PTK, which specifically honors Richard Bland students.

Governor Ralph Northam to Deliver Commencement Address

Governor Ralph Northam, the 73rd governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, will deliver the keynote address at Richard Bland College of William & Mary’s 55th Commencement Ceremony on May 12. Northam becomes the first Governor to serve as Commencement speaker at Richard Bland since Governor Mills E. Godwin delivered the address in 1969.
