Student Assembly

The student assembly at Richard Bland College works to represent all students on all matters of representation.

The student assembly is made up of elected members and is supported by its committees: Research and Development, Civic Engagement, Appropriations and Finance, College Policy and Student Rights, and Health and Wellness. The student assembly encourages engagement from all levels of the College’s community. Additionally, they work to ensure that campus policies remain fair, protects student rights, and builds strong relationships between the tri-city area and Richard Bland administration.

Mission

Richard Bland College’s student assembly strives to increase student engagement through leadership opportunities, civic engagement, and active involvement in campus events. At its core, student assembly encourages a strong relationship between students, administration, faculty, and staff for the betterment of the Richard Bland community-at-large.

Meeting Times

  • The student assembly meets every Wednesday in McNeer 104.
  • Student assembly council meetings are open to the public and are held on the last Wednesday of every month from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Lilli Brown

President

Lilli Brown, a sophomore at Richard Bland College and President of the Student Assembly, is dedicated to amplifying students’ voices and ensuring their perspectives shape campus life. She strives to create an environment where every student feels heard and valued, leading initiatives that deliver meaningful, lasting improvements to the student experience. Under her leadership, the Assembly has established several subcommittees to advance its mission of fostering a vibrant and supportive campus community.

Responsibilities:

● Leads the student assembly initiatives and efforts

● Acts as a voice and liaison to faculty, staff, and administration on all student matters

● Works to promote cohesiveness within the student assembly as a whole, as well as between the administration and students

Victoria Wigfall

Victoria Wigfall

Vice President

Victoria Wigfall is a sophomore at Richard Bland College and serves as SGA’s Vice President. The position of Vice President serves as a supporting hand, helping the President successfully execute their responsibilities. Her position serves as a liaison for clubs, in which she endeavors to ensure they are seen and supported. From her experiences on campus, Victoria understands the importance of having an outlet for relaxation and enjoyable activities. Victoria will expand campus clubs and social events, creating spaces for all students to connect, enjoy, and benefit from their involvement. By building lively, meaningful communities, Victoria will work to ensure RBC students thrive in an atmosphere of creativity and opportunity.

Responsibilities:

● Assists the president in leading Student Assembly initiatives

● Works closely with and oversees the student assembly committees in order to create a more welcoming and cohesive campus

Corey Winfield

Corey Winfield

Treasurer

Corey is a first-year student passionate about community engagement, equal opportunity for all, and building relationships with those in his community. Being on various clubs and teams, his commitment to student development, governance, and collaborative initiatives is strong! Corey aims to strengthen access to resources, provide guidance on accessing them on campus, and is very keen on ensuring the efficient and strategic use of the Student Assembly’s budget. This dedication supports smooth financial operations and enhances the overall student experience on campus.

Responsibilities:

● Oversees the student assembly budget and finance reporting

● Manages the budget process

● Leads all fundraising efforts

● Accountable for funding guidelines and procedures

Jada Ramirez

Jada Ramirez

Secretary

Jada Ramirez serves as the Secretary of the Student Government Association, dedicated to promoting clear communication and organization within the student body. She records and distributes meeting agendas, minutes, and updates for all members. Jada also helps coordinate communication between SGA officers, clubs, and campus organizations. Her organization and attention to detail help ensure smooth and effective SGA operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Records and maintains meeting minutes and attendance
  • Prepares and shares agendas and official documents
  • Manages SGA communication and announcements
  • Assists with event planning and coordination between organizations
