Number of Honor Students Up At Richard Bland College

Richard Bland College is pleased to announce an increase in students achieving a grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 and above. The College saw a 13% rise in students achieving a 3.25 GPA for the 2018 spring semester as compared to the previous year.

Petersburg Graduates Earn High School Diploma and Richard Bland College Degree

Two students from Petersburg High School recently graduated from Richard Bland College, earning both their High School Advanced Diploma and their two-year Associate of Science Degree. Through the “Middle College Program” partnership between Richard Bland College and Petersburg City Public Schools, Antonio Duperior-White and Amaya Comvalius graduated from both high school and college this spring.

Meet Statesman Scholar Jason Nesmith

Richmond native Jason Nesmith might be the busiest student on the Richard Bland College campus. He’s a member of the Honors Program, an RA in the dorms and a Student Ambassador. He’s an accomplished musician and a member of the Music Club. His schedule also includes being a member of the Historical Society and holding down a campus job as a student success coordinator.
